What are the most rewarding parts of your job?

To see the jewellery we produce from the raw rough materials we begin with transform into the beautiful pieces of jewellery that our customers love. Also seeing people’s reactions at the many events and shows we attend when we explain to them that the jewellery is hand made in our workshops in Ashbourne and Whitby.

What do you consider to be your biggest personal success at the company so far?

I feel that starting within the company with no qualifications or skills and working up to the job and skill set I have now is a great achievement! I also have the knowledge and experience to train and help others, it’s really very rewarding.

What first attracted you to a career in jewellery?

I have always loved jewellery and liked to do work with a hands on approach and artistic feel. So when I saw the job for a workshop technician advertised, I knew it was the job for me.

What’s your favourite gemstone/jewellery and why?

My favourite has to be jet and marcasite pieces, they are beautiful and classy and also a British gemstone which makes it extra special to keep for years to come.

What do you think you could tell someone about the company that they don’t already know?

That we actually do “HAND MAKE” the jewellery in our own workshops. Also we do design and create pieces unique pieces requested by customers.
