National Trade Sales Manager (Fine Jewellery)

Ashbourne Derbyshire DE6 1EA

As a family business, now into its second generation, C W Sellors has been producing award winning, British, handcrafted jewellery for over 40 years. Throughout our 40 year history, the business has successfully managed to grow to be one of the UK’s largest independent manufacturers of gemstone jewellery, working with a wide variety of independent jewellers, leading heritage centres and multi-channel retailers. As we continue to experience significant growth both online and in store we are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Trade Sales Manager to relaunch and drive our trade business, both at home and abroad.

Field based with office space and support in Ashbourne Derbyshire, this position is an excellent opportunity to make a big impact. We offer a competitive salary with company car, company pension scheme along with a monthly sales-based performance bonus.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing strategies to hit or exceed sales targets
  • Landing new business opportunities
  • Developing strong relationships with customers
  • Connecting with key business executives and stakeholders
  • Preparing stock & sales forecasts, sales reports and purchase order management. 
  • Managing trade fairs, company events and sales conferences
  • Maintaining effective time management through monthly and weekly planners

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to generate commercial sales leads from new and existing accounts
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage several different tasks at once.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • A polite, friendly and diplomatic manner.
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Able to identify both traditional and ‘out-of-the-box’ sales opportunities.
  • Strong record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Jewellery experience beneficial – although full training and induction package will be provided.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven online sales professional to join our successful, expanding and innovative management team which is already delivering annual double-digit sales growth.

About you:

As a self-starter, excellent communicator and problem solver you will ensure all customers get our usual high levels of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, developing and supporting your team to achieve sales targets in a fast-paced environment
  • To offer every customer a high level of service and maintain good customer satisfaction and retention
  • To utilise all potential sales leads and other enquiries efficiently and diligently responding within the expected time set by the management team
  • To follow up and convert product returns into sales
  • To maintain a work rate and level that falls in line with the company’s objectives in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • To regularly review performance, to identify and implement improvements and to reward good performance from your team.
  • To expand our online offer by uploading product details, copy and photos

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a sales role is required with a track record of target achievement
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional and friendly telephone and written manner
  • Ability to work to your own initiative with minimal supervision whilst working in a close-knit team.
  • Self-motivated, driven and passionate about your role

C W Sellors has a worldwide established e-commerce presence, including our luxury watch website www.jurawatches.co.uk and fine jewellery website www.cwsellors.co.uk. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven sales professional to join our successful and growing e-commerce team.

 

THE ROLE 

Online Sales Department 

  • Handling, negotiating and converting customer sales leads across different platforms, including live chats, phone call, emails, and whatsapp.
  • Building relationships with customers and using initiative when dealing with queries.
  • Developing a strong knowledge and understanding of product collections to identify and convert sales leads.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Processing customer returns and offering alternative products to exchange to.

ABOUT YOU 

  • You will be an energetic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for our products, sales and good customer service.
  • You will have a proven track record of exceeding customer expectations.
  • With strong communication skills and a personable approach to problem solving, you will endeavour to deliver a high standard customer experience. 
  • You will have excellent time management skills, be capable of working in a fast paced environment with a can-do attitude and hands-on approach. 
  • You will be proactive, flexible, and committed within your role rota’d weekend work is required with flexibility during peak times.
