Jewellery & Watch News

There are few fashion houses as iconic as Gucci. Their unique blend of fashion authority and outstanding craftsmanship makes them one of the most popular designer jewellery brands in the world. And yet over the last few years, we’ve watched them enter into the world of fine jewellery bringing together luxurious materials like 18ct gold and diamonds for effortless, everyday wear. One example of their fine jewellery collections is their series of Gucci GG Running jewellery.
Characterised by clean lines, statement stud work and 18 carat gold, the GG Running collection is billed as both accessible and adventurous with attention grabbing rings, easy-to-open bracelets and instantly striking stud earrings. One glance at the range and you’ll quickly see there’s no shortage of designs to choose from, but one element they all have in common is the distinctive double G motif that adorns them all. This iconic logo finds itself across many of the Gucci jewellery collections remaining an emblem for the brand’s legendary reputation.
Since the double G logo is so prominent in the Gucci GG Running jewellery collection, it wouldn’t hurt to dive into the history of it briefly. It was first created by Aldo Gucci, the son of Gucci’s founder Guccio Gucci. He created the original double G motif during the 1960’s with the intention of representing both his father’s initials and the intertwining links of a bracelet. Over the years, we’ve seen very little change in the logo’s styling allowing the monogram to become increasingly recognisable on all Gucci jewellery, watches, bags, clothing and accessories.
As for Gucci GG Running jewellery, the famous double G is elevated in a series of 18 carat yellow gold, white gold and rose gold rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces. For lovers of timeless design, we recommend a look at the Gucci GG Running 18ct Gold Ring which features an elegant white gold band with a unique raised profile and the GG logo at centre stage. For something a tad more striking, the Gucci GG Running Star Drop Earrings dangle gracefully from the lobe in 18 carat yellow gold with a faceted star at the centre and the double G emblem floating below.
The Gucci GG Running jewellery collection also boasts a stunning range of double G interpretations dressed in dazzling white diamonds. The Gucci GG Running Diamond necklace is a stunning example of the brand’s prowess with gold and diamonds bringing together a total of 0.22 carat diamonds and 18 carat gold. The double G motif sits as the central pendant while additional diamond accents glitter up the chain. To match, there is also a series of Gucci GG Running Diamond bracelets with the same diamond-encrusted motif and diamond charms across the chain. On the bracelet, you can find a total of 37 round brilliant cut diamonds totalling 0.21 carats.
