Inspired by a ring that Damiani founder, Enrico Grassi Damiani, dedicated to Queen Margherita of Italy in the early 1900s, the series delivers a stunning selection of coloured gemstone and diamond jewellery pieces defined by elegant floral motifs.
Founded in 1924 by Enrico Grassi Damiani, the Damiani jewellery brand began its history combining Enrico’s own love of modern stylings with the savoir-faire of Valenza’s master goldsmiths. A figure of great importance during the birth of Damiani was Queen Margherita of Italy, also known as Margherita of Savoy, Queen of Italy by marriage to Umberto I. The Queen was, and still is, noted for her extensive fine jewellery collection, in particular her diamond tiaras and brooches embellished with breathtaking floral imagery. In honour of his Queen, Enrico Grassi Damiani created his own ring, one of precious gemstones depicting a daisy flower. The homage makes even more sense when you realise that “daisy” in Italian translates to “Margherita”.
