Combining the grit deserving of an outdoors watch with the glitter of a formal dress timepiece, the new NORQAIN Adventure Sport 37mm Diamonds watch is the Swiss watch brand’s latest addition to their ladies collection.
Just as its mouthful-of-a-name suggests, the NORQAIN Adventure Sport 37mm Black Diamonds watch is a stylish, black diamond coated luxury ticker that feels just as sensible on the wrist during an evening soiree as it does hiking up a mountain. It’s 37mm stainless steel case is coated in a gorgeous DLC black treatment which extends across the lugs, the crown, the case back and the bezel. The latter is one of the key novelties of the design electing a total of 60 black full-cut diamonds set around the circumference. The diamonds measure to 1.5mm in diameter and total to 0.84 carats. Despite its aesthetically extravagant design, the bezel maintains the brand’s adventurous DNA with unidirectional functionality with a click system and knurled detailing for ease of use.
The case of the NORQAIN Adventure Sport 37mm Black Diamonds Limited Edition continues to impress with a water resistant rating of 100 metres, something helped by the screw in crown at 3 o’clock and the screw down case back. The crown is knurled and engraved with the NORQAIN logo while the case back includes an insert of sapphire crystal glass for a handsome view of the automatic winding movement inside. The same scratch resistant glass is placed above the dial and treated with an anti-reflective coating for decreased reflectiveness in strong light. The NORQAIN ladies watch is completed by a black rubber strap with a fine knurled pattern, just like that found on the side of the bezel.
Unexpectedly, the NORQAIN Adventure Sport 37mm Black Diamonds watch opts for black again on the dial. The backdrop is stamped with a weave-like ‘NORQAIN pattern’ and embellished with rose gold-plated hands and indices. The contract between the black display and the rose gold hardware makes reading the hours, minutes and seconds effortless, and to top it off, the date complication placed at 3 o’clock is also bordered in the same rose gold hue. The dial also ensures legibility during the night with Superluminova inserts placed on the hour markers and hands. Fuelling these functions is the NORQAIN NN08 automatic winding calibre with a power reserve of 38 hours and a balance wheel frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
