A decade later and Meccaniche Veloci became Meccaniche Veloci – Genève, moving to the heart of Switzerland’s luxury watchmaking district of Plan les Ouates in Geneva to combine their Italian creativity with the world’s finest watchmaking traditions. To this day, all Meccaniche Veloci watches are handmade in Switzerland within an exhibition space that was formally a mechanical workshop – a choice that once again highlights the brand’s obsession with engineering. The brand describe their new workshop as a “creative factory” where new ideas are aroused, a place where lovers of fine luxury watch manufacture can sit and discuss.
Meccaniche Veloci watches deliver nothing but the best in design, precision and performance with each model obsessed over according to four specific rules. The first is that every Meccaniche Veloci watch is produced in Switzerland, which includes every single component that makes up the case, strap, bezel, dial and movement. On delivery of your own Meccaniche Veloci watch, you will receive a certified Watch Passport to authenticate it’s Swiss Made construction. The second rule of Meccaniche Veloci’s manufacture is that they use only in-house developed movements of Swiss Manufacture, and since only a few luxury watch brands in the world can argue the same, Meccaniche Veloci is placed in the top leagues.
The third rule of Meccaniche Veloci is that the craftsmanship of all their luxury watches is carried out by expert watchmakers only. The rigorous commitment of their talented craftsman ensures an obsession with perfection and attention to detail, guaranteeing every Meccaniche Veloci watch delivers only the best in luxury watch design. Lastly, Meccaniche Veloci watches are designed as limited editions only making their small yet impressive collections extremely rare.
Heading the range of Meccaniche Veloci watches is their two key collections: the Icon and QuattroValvole. Both contemporary lines feature formidable 49mm diameter cases with the new in-house MV8802 calibre. The mechanical self-winding movement has been crafted in La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland and allows for the simultaneous display of four different time zones. Differing the designs is their exceptional use of high quality anti-reflective crystal. The Meccaniche Veloci Icon features four separate dials each protected by their own piece of crystal while the Meccaniche Veloci QuattroValvole showcases a single dial with one large piece of anti-reflective sapphire glass for optimal protection and legibility.
