IWC Big Pilots Perpetual Calendar Watch
If you’re shopping for someone with a love of fine haute horologerie, then you can’t go wrong with this IWC Big Pilots Perpetual Calendar watch. No other complication demands as much attention as the perpetual calendar, a feature first developed by IWC’s former head watchmaker Kurt Klaus. Despite its overly complicated appearance, the movement is incredibly user friendly with all functions entirely controlled using the crown. These functions include the date, day, month, small seconds, and moonphase, the latter depicting both the northern and southern hemispheres and needing adjusting by only one day after 577.5 years. Driving the module is the IWC-manufactured 52615 calibre also promising a 7 day power reserve and 54 jewels. The IWC Big Pilots Perpetual Calendar also boasts a 46.2m stainless steel case, blue calfskin leather strap and dial, 60 metre water resistant rating and Superluminova hardware.
IWC Big Pilots 43 Watch
Also from the IWC Big Pilots watch collection is this IWC Big Pilots 43 watch which offers a much more classical take on high-precision timekeeping. The aviation-inspired design opts for a smooth black dial dressed in simple propeller-shaped hands for the hours and minutes and a sleek seconds hand powered by the IWC-manufactured 82100 calibre. The movement is equipped with a Pellaton winding system, a 60 hour power reserve and a brushed rotor which can be witnessed through the exhibition case back. As for the case of the IWC Big Pilots 43, the Swiss watch brand has returned to the purity of original observation watches with a reduced size of 43mm. The case is engineered from stainless steel and secures to the wrist by a brown calfskin leather strap. The strap has been developed using their EasX-CHANGE system so the wearer can easily replace the strap whenever they feel like it.
IWC Pilot’s Chronograph 41 Watch
For lovers of the classic chronograph, the IWC Pilot’s Chronograph 41 is one of the brand’s latest best-sellers and introduces the timeless complication within a new 41mm stainless steel case for the ultimate compact sports watch. Each design displays three registers, one for small seconds at 6 o’clock, one for the 12 hours counter at 9 o’clock and another for 30 minutes counter at 12 o’clock, all powered by the in-house IWC 69385 calibre dominated by a column wheel mechanism as well as a date, week and day display and power reserve of 46 hours. These remarkable complications are laid out on a rich navy blue sunray dial alongside Superluminova inserts on the hands and numerals. The dial is encircled within a 100 metre water resistant stainless steel case with a smooth unadorned bezel and large screw in crown with knurled detailing, a feature purposely chosen so aviators and everyday gentlemen alike can control the crown even while wearing gloves. To complete the IWC Pilots Chronograph 41 watch is a five row link stainless steel bracelet and folding buckle paired with their EasX-CHANGE technology.
IWC Portugieser Chronograph Watch
If the gentlemen you’re treating this Christmas prefers timepieces with more of an elegant finish, the IWC Portugieser watch collection has you covered. These stunning designs take inspiration from the original Portugieser watches from the 1930’s with slim feuille shaped hands, high-precision movements, slim lugs and quality leather straps. One of our favourite models is this IWC Portugieser Chronograph featuring a timeless bi-compax layout on a crisp silver-plated dial. In contrast to the white centrepiece and polished stainless steel case, the dial is decorated with elegant rose gold trimmings including Arabic numerals and slender hands for the hours and minutes. The 30 metre water resistant case is suited to most wrist sizes with a 41mm diameter and comes paired with sapphire crystal glass on both the front and back, the latter offering a view of the in house Calibre 69355 automatic movement inside. The movement promises a frequency of 28,800vph and a 46 hour power reserve.
IWC Pilots Automatic Spitfire Watch

Inspired by the legendary fighter plane of the same name, the IWC Spitfire watch collection pays tribute to the elegance and cutting edge technology of both the aviation industry and luxury watch manufacture. The utilitarian finish of this IWC Pilots Automatic Spitfire watch is perfectly suited to the cockpit with an instantly legible dial detailed with beige-coloured Superluminova accents on the hands and a large luminous triangle marker at 12 o’clock. A dark brown leather strap pairs nicely with the beige hardware and secures the 39mm stainless steel case comfortably to the wrist. The IWC Pilots Automatic Spitfire also impresses with the in-house self-winding Calibre 32110 at its core promising a useful 72 hour power reserve and date complication at 3 o’clock. Anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass protects the dial while a sealed case back engraved with an image of the Junkers JU-52 plane assists in a 60 metre water resistant rating.
IWC Portofino Automatic 37 Watch
Last but not least, we’re finishing this Christmas Buying Guide with a bit of festive sparkle and the IWC Portofino Automatic 37 watch. Dressed in an array of brilliant cut white diamonds, the case is unmissable and pairs the sparkle of the gemstones with a blue sunray dial detailed with beaded indexes for marking each hour, silver Roman numerals and feuille shaped hands. It’s case, which sits on the wrist at 37mm, takes its inspiration from the original 1970’s Lepine pocket watch offering gentle curves, a knurled crown and a thin height. The case is engineered from polished stainless steel and would be suited to both male and female wrists thanks to the unisex blue alligator leather strap and high-precision IWC manufactured Calibre 35111. The movement is kept hidden behind a sealed case back offering a 30 metre water resistant rating and provides a 42 hour power reserve and 28,800bph frequency.
