Combining the Tahitian mother of pearl dial from the Lady K watch with the timeless elegance of their best-selling Solo 37 model, British watch manufacturer Bremont launches the dream ladies watch for today’s modern women. Named the Bremont Maya watch, the design features a 37mm steel and rose gold case, iridescent gemstone dial and a choice of three elegant straps.

Opting for many of the classic elements found on the Solo 37 Ladies watch, the new Bremont Maya presents a 37mm stainless steel case engineered using the brand’s legendary Trip-Tick case construction. According to the British manufacturer, the steel has been hardened in the UK to over 2000 Vickers, making it seven times more scratch resistant and durable than typical watch grade steel. If that wasn’t enough, the case then nominates a gorgeous 18 carat rose gold bezel, fixed and polished for an unmissable shine. We’re also warranted a matching rose gold crown and domed, anti-reflective, scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass, both of which assist in a 100 metre water resistant rating.
The star of the show, the dial of the Bremont Maya watch, is handcrafted from the iridescent tones of Tahitian mother of pearl dial, a darker version of the more well-known white mother of pearl gemstone. Bremont claims the inspiration for the display came from the natural deep water pools found throughout Mexico, more specially the Yucatan Peninsula which was believed to have provided the original water supply to the ancient Maya – the civilisation which gives the Bremont Maya watch its name. To match the bezel and crown, the dial features gorgeous rose gold sword-shaped hands for the hours and minutes, a lollipop seconds hand and a combination of baton indexes and Arabic numerals. Much of the hardware on the dial is generously filled with Superluminova for effortless readability in low lighting. The Bremont Maya watch also delivers a date window at 3 o’clock.
Powering the hours, minutes, seconds and date complication of the Bremont Maya Ladies watch is the modified BE-36AE.D calibre. It is automatic winding with 26 jewels, a Glucydur balance, Anachron balance spring and Nivaflex mainspring as well as a high 28,800vph frequency and a 38 hour power reserve. You can admire the traditional decoration including the open worked Bremont-signed rotor through the exhibition case back. Lastly, the Bremont Maya watch is completed by a choice of three straps: a grey calf leather strap, a delicate pink embossed calf leather strap or a polished steel bracelet.
