The design, adorned in a bold livery of white and blue, has been created in collaboration with America’s most iconic travel brand, Pan Am, who famously set the global standard for jet setting in the 1950s and 60s.
Pan Am is known as a symbol of the historic days of aviation. The American airline was born on 28 October 1927 when it began a scheduled mail service between Key West and Havana. It wasn’t long before the company grew from a small regional airline into an international giant, becoming an icon of the golden age of air travel. At its peak Pan Am also set two around the world records, both using the B747. Now in a brand-new collaboration with the iconic travel brand, Swiss watch manufacturer Zodiac has launched the Super Sea Wolf World Time GMT Pan Am watch which beautifully tributes the airline’s logo with a uniform of white and blue. The rest of the specifications for the limited edition mirror the Super Sea Wolf World Time GMT watches launched last year which include reference ZO9409 with a grey dial and black bezel and reference ZO9410 with a white dial and red bezel.

The new Zodiac Super Sea Wolf World Time GMT Pan Am Limited Edition watch boasts a 40mm stainless steel case with brushed and polished surfaces, a height of 13.6mm and water resistant rating of 100 metres. The latter is assisted by the screw down crown placed at 3 o’clock, the screw down case back engraved with its reference number ZO9412 and sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment. A new feature of the case is the bi-directional rotating worldtimer bezel now adorned in a gorgeous shade of blue to match that of the Pan Am logo. The bezel also presents the 24 reference cities in white.
The new blue and white colourway continues onto the dial of the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf World Time GMT Pan Am watch which is painted in white opaline and dressed in a large Pan Am globe motif at the centre. A second Pan Am logo is placed at 6 o’clock, this time in blue, offsetting the black Zodiac logo at 12 o’clock. The dial also presents square hour markers, baton-shaped hands for the hours and minutes, a lollipop seconds hand and a bold, contrasting GMT hand in blue. All of the hardware is adorned in glow in the dark Superluminova for readability in the dark. The Zodiac Super Sea Wolf World Time GMT Pan Am Limited Edition also delivers a date complication at 3 o’clock and a black outer chapter ring for the 24 hour scale.
Powering the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf World Time GMT Pan Am watch is the Soprod C125 automatic winding movement which guarantees a 42 hour power reserve, 25 jewels and frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Since it is part of a limited edition collaboration, the watch comes in a special custom box which includes a spare lamb utility strap which can be swapped out for the three-link steel bracelet already attached. You’ll also receive a Pan Am printed cleaning cloth and a commemorative Pan Am patch.
