The Story Behind the Shaun Leane Quill Jewellery Collection
With Shaun Leane, it’s hard to establish which of their collections is their flagship. Every line has its own cornerstone, whether it be the seductive curves of the Shaun Leane Hook or the feminine elegance of the Shaun Leane Cherry Blossom. Then of course you have the famous Shaun Leane Quill jewellery line which with its sharp, knife-edged silhouette illustrates the journey of the House – where they’ve come from and where they are now.
The design which started the Shaun Leane Quill jewellery collection was a unique Quill anklet launched in 2018. The symmetrical lines of the design took inspiration Shaun Leane’s first ever bespoke commission from British magazine editor and fashion designer Isabella Blow. In fact, this design was the first piece to launch the House of Shaun Leane in 1999. Known as the Gold Couture Quill choker, the intricate, architecture piece was designed to frame the jawline in a graphic and rebellious fashion, signifying a tension between combat and self-protection. This art was then interpretated into the Shaun Leane Quill anklet, boasting symmetrical lines adorned in black and white diamonds that cascaded downwards and moved with the ankle and calf. The sterling silver spikes perforated outwards and away from the legs, fastening at the back to complete its seductive beauty.

The Shaun Leane Quill Jewellery Collection
The Quill anklet has since led the way for numerous modern-day Shaun Leane Quill jewellery designs to enter the House’s portfolio, from sterling silver Quill earrings to elegant pendants, dramatic rings and statement Quill bangles. Each piece is undeniably menacing and sharp and yet worn in total synchronisation with the wearer, as the precious metal moulds elegantly to the skin. The polished nature of the sterling silver and gold also captures the light beautifully, illuminating not only itself but the wearer.
Each piece of Shaun Leane Quill jewellery is meticulously handcrafted from sterling silver, yellow gold or black rhodium with each quill tailored in length and curve to work with the adjacent piece.
