Celebrating a decade since the release of the inaugural Move collection, Messika launched the Move 10th jewellery collection back in 2017 and still to this day, the line upholds the brand’s prowess for refined minimalism, elegance and pave diamonds.
“A diamond is never more beautiful than when it is in motion.” Based on this principle, Valérie Messika created the Messika Move jewellery collection back in 2007 and in doing so changed the future of the Parisian brand forever. Messika Move jewellery has become the brand’s best-selling design, with each necklace, bracelet, ring or earring placing a moving diamond as the starring role. The concept was inspired by Valérie Messika’s childhood memories as she watched her father, a renowned diamond merchant, entertaining her by sliding diamonds between his fingers. The moving gemstone and its unmissable sparkle encouraged every piece of Messika Move jewellery you see today.
Valérie Messika has taken her heritage with precious gemstones and combined it with her own experience as a fine jewellery wearer to ensure each piece of Messika Move jewellery reflects the personality of its wearer. Whether with or without pave diamonds, each elegant piece is characterised by one or three diamonds sliding along its cage handcrafted from 18ct gold. The result? A mesmerising statement that embodies the extraordinary panache and style of the woman that wears it.
Extending on from this philosophy, Valérie Messika designed a completely new collection of diamond jewellery in 2017 to celebrate ten years since the launch of the original Messika Move jewellery line. Suitably named Messika Move 10th, the series pays tribute to the Maison’s signature collection by offering the famous suspended diamond design in even more extravagant stylings. From statement rings to diamond cuff bracelets, long necklaces to graphic earrings, the Messika Move 10th jewellery collection reinterprets the floating three diamonds at the centre of a range of 18ct gold designs, often oblong in shape and dressed with extra white pave diamonds.
Some of our favourite pieces within the Messika Move 10th jewellery collection include the Move 10th Anniversary Necklaces which honour the occasion with sculptural elongated oval-shaped pendants crafted from a choice of 18ct yellow, rose or white gold. At the centre, the pendant holds up the iconic three suspended diamonds which slide up and down the length for an unmissable sparkle. To match, the necklace is then adorned with additional white pave diamonds across the entire foundation including the bail which hangs from a chain crafted from matching 18ct gold. Matching perfectly with the Messika Move 10th necklaces is a range of bangles, rings and earrings repeating the same design in different sizes.
