Who is Vivianna Torun?
Georg Jensen has worked with no shortage of talented artisans and designers since their founding over 100 years ago. From Henning Koppel to Jacqueline Rabun, designers past and present have secured the Danish design house a reputation like no other. One of these designers is Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe, a Swedish born artist who began her journey in silversmithy in 1945 when she graduated from the Academy of Industrial Arts in Stockholm. Shortly after, she settled in Paris and crafted her own collection of sterling silver jewellery, quickly becoming recognised globally for her rare talent.
A few years later and Vivianna Torun began her long-lasting partnership with Georg Jensen. She also designed the popular Georg Jensen Dew Drop jewellery line which captures the images of dew drops in sterling silver and the mesmerising Georg Jensen Mobius collection which takes inspiration from a mathematical phenomenon known as the mobius strip. Many of Vivianna Torun’s creations are inspired by natural shapes, whether that be flowers, leaves or water, opting depicting sober, simple and something seemingly flexible forms in sterling silver.
