The FOPE Novecento chain is one of the Italian jewellery manufacturer’s most legendary designs. It followed the brand’s history of creating flexible metal watch straps, the innovation of Odino Cazzola, the son of the FOPE jewellery brand founder. Following the success of these flexible watch bands, Odino and his two children expanded the business and launched the very first range of FOPE jewellery. The elegant flexible chain, which took inspiration from the original watch straps, was known as the Novecento. With its intricate solid gold mesh design, the Novecento chain became renowned for its amazing comfort and flexibility sending the FOPE name all around Italy and the world. Ever since, this very design has remained the core inspiration for much of the modern-day FOPE jewellery collections you’ll find on the C W Sellors website, including the FOPE Flex’it Vendome series.
All of FOPE’s Flex’it jewellery has one thing in common: flexibile 18 carat gold chains. Motivated by the Novecento mesh chain, the designs feature a patented ‘roll on’ mesh chain that is rendered fully flexible thanks to the tiny gold springs hidden between each link. This incredible technology allows each FOPE Flex’it bracelet, necklace or ring to roll effortlessly onto the body and sit comfortably against the skin without the need for a clasp. The series is home to several sub-collections such as the Eka, Panorama, Luna or Solo, each offering their own interpretation on the original Novecento design. Another family is the FOPE Flex’it Vendome jewellery collection which stands out from its sisters for its chunkier, oval-shaped chain.
The FOPE Flex’it Vendome collection is the perfect place for fine jewellery wearers that like to make a statement. The bold, geometric chains arrive up to five links thick and feature smooth, elegant edges for a beautiful oval finish. As with all the FOPE Flex’it designs, the Vendome rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets are completely flexible and as such, remarkably comfortable to wear despite their size. Handcrafted from a choice of yellow, white or rose gold, the thick yet flexible chain contours effortlessly around the finger thanks to its total flexibility. You’ll never have to worry about sizing and you can wear this ring on any finger – what a luxury! The ring is then decorated with a matching 18ct gold rondelle embellished with 0.10 carats of white diamonds.
Another popular creation in the FOPE Flex’it Vendome jewellery collection is the FOPE Vendome Bracelets. Yet again, these finely crafted chains slip effortlessly over the hand and around the wrist and come prepared in a choice of 18 carat yellow, white or rose gold. At the centre, a dainty gold rondel captures the attention with a choice of either single diamond on the base or three pave diamonds totalling 0.35ct.
