For 2019, the Swiss watch manufacturer have released a stunning new timepiece that tributes the king of Reggae, Bob Marley. The Raymond Weil Tango GMT Bob Marley watch is full of exquisite design details inspired by the icon himself including song lyrics and the artist’s famous signature.
World renowned artist Bob Marley remains one of the important and influential icons in the music industry and its impossible to hear Reggae music without immediately thinking of the legend. He was the first artist to introduce the world to Reggae music and will now forever be known as the father of the genre. His lifestyle, ideologies and talents continue to inspire new generations which is shown by the millions of albums sold worldwide.

Designed in collaboration with the House of Marley, this new Raymond Weil Tango GMT Bob Marley watch is part of a limited run of only 1,500 pieces and is beautifully detailed with an array of Marley-inspired tropes. Immediately on show on the black dial is the iconic lion head that every Bob Marley fan will recognise embossed in a shiny black lacquer. The rest of the dial is inspired by the Ethopian flag with accents of yellow, red and green decorating the seconds hand, GMT hand and circumference circle.
The case of the Raymond Weil Tango GMT Bob Marley Limited Edition is crafted from polished stainless steel and measures to a comfortable size of 42mm. Hidden within is a Swiss made quartz movement which equips the timepiece with hour, minute and seconds function, a date window at 3 o' clock and a handy GMT hand. Housing the dial is scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass coated in a special anti-reflective treatment for easy legibility paired with an aluminium black and grey anodized bezel.
To assist in it’s 300 metre water resistance, the Raymond Weil Bob Marley watch is fitted with a special screw down crown detailed with the brands ‘RW’ logo and a screw down case back. Beautifully detailing the stainless steel case back is Bob Marley’s signature engraved across the bottom alongside an inscription of “Time Will Tell”, a reference to the successful song from Bob Marley’s tenth album, Kaya.
