A Brief History of Sif Jakobs Jewellery
The Sif Jakobs jewellery brand is named after its founder, who born in Iceland decided to train as a goldsmith in Sweden before making a home in Copenhagen from 2000 onwards. In 2009, she founded the Sif Jakobs brand. Italy has also been a second home to Sif, and her love for Italian elegance and their prowess for fine jewellery manufacture is evidently embodied within her own collections of Sif Jakobs jewellery. The titles of many of her lines take their name from Italian cities. On the other hand, her upbringing in Iceland continues to serve as a source of inspiration, taking memories of the breathtaking landscapes and reviving them into her designs

Since the launch of Sif Jakobs jewellery, the designer brand has found quick success – and rightly so. They have featured in popular fashion magazines and in lifestyle media and worn on the bodies of celebrities like Dua Lipa, Ellie Goulding, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry. Breathtakingly beautiful and with a sparkle instantly eye-catching, the Sif Jakobs jewellery collections have no shortage of stunning designs. One of their more classic collections is the Sif Jakobs Ellera which combines 18ct gold plating with dazzling white zirconia, colourful zirconia and freshwater pearls. The earrings in this line are particularly beautiful, combining the purity of the pearl at the end of a zirconia-set hoop setting which hangs freely and dances with every tilt of the head.
The Sif Jakobs Princess jewellery collection is another fine example of the Copenhagen brand’s design prowess. Many of the designs here feel Danish in their minimalistic methodology, uniting colourful zirconia in pink, purple, yellow, green and blue in baguette cuts dotted across delicate chains of 18 carat gold plated 925 sterling silver. Another best-seller is the Sif Jakobs Novara jewellery line which again showcases colourful zirconia and gold but in strong, powerful and statement designs like large signet rings, thick hoop earrings and cuff bangles.
