Marco Bicego Paradise Jewellery
Marco Bicego’s declaration of love for natural coloured gemstones is embodied yet again in the Italian jeweller’s collections, this time within the new Marco Bicego Paradise series. Versatile, refined, sophisticated and colourful, the Paradise jewellery collection opts for a rainfall of coloured gemstones set within 18 carat yellow gold including heart-cut topaz with its blue-sky color, tourmaline, quartz and enchanting purple amethyst. Between each gemstone is hand-engraved gold elements which results in an ever unique and unrepeatable creation suitable for every occasion.
For us, what makes the Marco Bicego Paradise jewellery collection so mesmerising is its fresh and youthful energy helped by the fact the gemstones, which hang from the differently styled 18 carat yellow gold chains, are crafted at different shapes and heights. The irregularity of each piece makes them truly unmissable and allows them to move freely to release iridescent reflections. We particularly love the Marco Bicego Paradise choker which incorporates different coloured gemstones between 18 carat yellow gold nuggets finely hand-engraved using an ancient Florentine technique.
Marco Bicego Marrakech Onde Jewellery
While the Paradise collection opts for colour, the new Marco Bicego Marrakech Onde jewellery series chooses the simplicity of 18 carat gold and pure white diamonds in celebration of the company’s 20th anniversary. Offering a timeless simplicity difficult to find anywhere else, the collection becomes the ultimate statement for the everyday characterised by a degradé sequence of oval twisted coils embellished by brilliant cut pave elements. The hand twisted detailing in particular mirrors all the values of the master craftsmanship so notably championed by the manufacturer.
If we had the choice, we couldn’t leave without the Marco Bicego Marrakech Onde bracelets and their linking twisted coils embellished by three oval elements featuring brilliant cut diamonds. The diamond decorated links are perfectly interspersed between the 18 carat yellow gold and offer a classic aesthetic worthy of any outfit. To match, we’d then choose a pair of the Marco Bicego Marrakech Onde earrings in chandelier style which feature five oval twisted coils joined together by a pendant bail with brilliant-cut diamond pave.
Marco Bicego Petali Jewellery
Last but not least for the 2021 Marco Bicego jewellery collections is the new Petali series. Launched during spring, the family is made up of delicate Lunaria leaves to beautifully embody the elegance and romance of the season. Each necklace, ring, bracelet and earring incorporates a series of yellow gold petals which have been individually forged by the master craftsmen in the Marco Bicego workshops and then hand engraved using the ancient Florentine technique, a technique which involves making tiny cross-hatch engraved lines across the gold.
Choosing our favourite pieces from the Marco Bicego Petali jewellery collection wasn’t easy, but we’ve not seen anything quite like these selection of rings before. Statement pieces as always, the Marco Bicego Petali rings feature a large floral motif at the centre characterised by an 18 carat gold petals adorned with a choice of brilliant cut diamond pave. On one of the rings, a singular diamond marks the centre while another opts for diamonds on alternating petals and the last instantly captivates with each and very petal adorned with a blaze of diamonds. For something simpler and more understated, the Marco Bicego Petali bangle features a minimalist gold band adorned with a single flower.
