Longines Master Collection Mens Watch
For Christmas gift ideas for men that only want the best, the Longines Master watch collection offers just that. First launched in 2005, the series is fitted with only self-winding Swiss made movements some of which are chronometer certified and offer complications like day and date, chronograph and moonphase. Boasting the latter is this Longines Master Collection Men’s watch equipped with a colourful moonphase aperture at 6 o’clock surrounded by a date complication. Powering these features is the L899 automatic winding movement continuing to impress with a 72 hour power reserve and a Cotes de Geneve rotor displayed through the exhibition case back. The case of the Longines men’s watch measures to 40mm and is finished in polished stainless steel. It comes paired with a blue alligator leather strap and a rich navy blue dial with silvered feuille-shaped hands.
Longines Heritage Classic Mens Watch
The perfect place for luxury watch collectors, the Longines Heritage watch collection revives vintage timepieces from the brand’s archives. This Longines Heritage Classic Men’s watch does exactly that with a well-designed sector dial and Art-Deco theme inspired by a Longines watch from 1934. Dressed in black, the dial features a central cross hair, just like it’s predecessor, enclosed within sleek hour indexes and Arabic numerals. The chapter ring is also finished in black to match the snailed subsidiary dial at 6 o’clock for the small seconds. While respecting the aesthetics of the original design, Longines beautifully combines the retro elements with modern-day technologies. This includes the L893 automatic winding movement with a power reserve of 72 hours and an anti- magnetic silicon balance spring for optimal reliability. The movement is housed within the Longines Heritage Classic watch’s 38.5mm stainless steel case finished with sapphire crystal glass and a brown leather strap.
Longines DolceVita Mens Watch
Similiarly Art-Deco in its architecture is the Longines DolceVita watch collection. Named after the translation for “sweet life” in Italian, these unique rectangle-shaped watches are designed to reflect the charm and elegance of the country. This particular Longines DolceVita Men’s watch honours the refined Italian lifestyle with a 47mm by 27.2mm stainless steel case which sits elegantly on the wrist with the help of a blue alligator leather strap and pin buckle. The case also features a small crown at 3 o’clock, sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment and a closed case back with a water resistant rating of 30 metres and a unique engraving depicting the original Longines logo. At the centre of the Longines DolceVita watch is a gorgeous two-toned dial with a crisp white centre and a silver brushed outer minutes track decorated with a combination of both Arabic numerals and large stick indexes. Powering the hours, minutes, seconds and date is the L592 automatic winding calibre with a power reserve of 45 hours.
Longines HydroConquest Mens Watch
If you’re shopping for someone this Christmas with a love of adventure and water sport, then look no further than this Longines HydroConquest watch. The collection as a whole is designed for sportsmen offering water resistant cases, high-precision movements and durable case designs. This particular watch tops them all however with a stunning two-toned aesthetic finished in stainless steel and yellow gold PVD. The case and bracelet opt for this colourway with the former, measuring to 41mm, also boasting a scratch resistant black ceramic bezel equipped with unidirectional rotating functionality and a 60 minute scale. Assisting in its powerful 300 metre water resistance, the case of the Longines HydroConquest Mens watch is also equipped with sapphire crystal glass, a screw in crown and a screw down case back. For easy legibility during night hiking or underwater diving, the watch features Superluminova inlays on the numerals and yellow gold hands placed on the smooth matte black dial while accurate timekeeping is assured by the L888 automatic movement with a 64 hour power reserve.
Longines DolceVita Ladies Watch
The fifth and final piece in our top Longines watches for Christmas is this ladies Longines DolceVita watch. Just like the men’s design above, this stunning rectangle-shaped watch combines geometric shapes, intricate detailing and a high precision Swiss quartz movement to reflect the sophistication of the Italian lifestyle. The slender case measures to 32mm by 20.8mm and is decorated with a total of 46 Top Wesselton diamonds which promise a colour of IF-VVS and a total of 0.386 carats. To pair with the sparkle of the precious gemstones, the dial is finished in a unique silver flinique pattern which extends out from blue painted hands towards classic black Roman numerals. At 6 o’clock, the Longines DolceVita Ladies watch also provides a small seconds function housed within a fitting square-shaped box. The design is then completed by a brown alligator leather strap secured by a stainless steel pin buckle.
