Introducing the Sinn T50 Watch Collection

Jewellery & Watch News

In advance of the Watches & Wonders 2023 event starting next month, German watchmaker Sinn has launched a range of high-strength diving watches equipped with their innovative captive bezel. The Sinn T50 watch collection includes a lightweight titanium model and two Sinn T50 Goldbronze watches crafted from a colour-changing bronze alloy.

The Sinn T50 Titanium Watches

High-performance diving watches are nothing new for Sinn, and now offering a new look with a masculine case and captive diver’s bezel is the Sinn T50 Titanium watch. Sitting incredibly lightweight on the wrist thanks to its titanium construction, the 41mm case is topped by the brand’s rotating safety diver’s bezel which is captively attached to the case to prevent it from being accidentally twisted while you explore underwater. As if that wasn’t enough, the captive bezel is then treated to Sinn’s ground-breaking TEGIMENT technology to ensure exceptional scratch resistance while Ar-Dehumidifying Technology ensures greater functional reliability and freedom from fogging.

The Sinn T50 Titanium watch is currently presented with a matte black dial set with a brightly luminous minutes track and three hands for the hours, minutes and seconds. To ensure undeniable readability in dark conditions, the hour hands and indices glow green while the minute and seconds  and the markings on the bezel glow blue. To match, the Sinn T50 comes with a black rubber strap or a high-strength titanium bracelet which like the case is robust and salt water resistance. Powering the design is the SW 300-1 self-winding movement which is kept hidden behind a screw down titanium case back, assisting in its 500 metre water resistant rating.

The Sinn T50 Goldbronze Watches

For those with a love of bronze dive watches, you’ll want to see the two new Sinn T50 Goldbronze releases. The first out of the duo is the Sinn T50 Goldbronze which has been entirely engineered (other than a titanium case back) from Sinn’s Goldbronze 125 alloy. The material has increased corrosion resistance to seawater compared to conventional bronze alloys but will still develop its own unique patina over time. The case measures to 41mm in diameter and is topped by a captive bronze bezel adorned with a black 60 minute scale. Like the titanium model above, it is also powered by the SW 300-1 self-winding movement and boasts a 500 metre water resistance.

The Sinn T50 Goldbronze watch stands out not only for its full bronzed case but for its unique textured dial. The dial has a bronzed finish and an irregular decorative polishing which reflects light beautifully. The technique used to give the dial this extraordinary finish is created using a machining process that can never be repeated, making every display different from the next. The dial is joined by a white luminous minutes track and two white glow in the dark hands for the hours and minutes. The seconds hand brings together the warmth of the case and dial with its own bronze hue. Completing the Sinn T50 Goldbronze watch is an olive grey textile strap.

Finally, the T50 collection welcomes the Sinn T50 GBDR watch which shares many technical features in common with the T50 Goldbronze timepiece. There’s the same sapphire crystal glass, 41mm diameter, 500 metre water resistant rating and Sellita movement inside. However, it’s case is largely engineered from titanium with only the captive diver’s bezel crafted from Goldbronze 125. The dial is also kept classic with a matte black finish set with luminous hour, minutes and seconds hands. The Sinn T50 GBDR watch secures to the wrist by a light grey rubber strap.
