Following on from the success of the 2019 Superocean IRONMAN Limited Edition, the IRONMAN Group and Swiss watch giants Breitling have teamed up again to unveil the new Endurance Pro IRONMAN watch. Dressed in sporty red accents, cased within lightweight Breitlight and powered by one of the industry’s most accurate calibres, the special edition is fated for the modern-day athlete.
Launched last year, the Breitling Endurance Pro collection has quickly become the brand’s flagship sports model. Having already conquered every other environment with their pilots, divers and dress watches, the Endurance Pro captures every requirement of an athlete. The design was announced alongside the Breitling Triathlon Squad consisting of Jan Froderno, Chris McCormack and Daniela Ryf. Each of these athletes are Iron Man World Champions themselves and like Breitling, have reached the pinnacles of their professions. Once again, the trio comes together to launch the new Breitling Endurance Pro IRONMAN watch which has been designed to celebrate the power and stamina needed for the sporting event it honours.

Just like the Endurance Pro collection before it, the new Endurance Pro IRONMAN is dedicated to athletes and luxury watch wearers looking for the ultimate athleisure timepiece. It’s sleek and sophisticated profile is characterised almost entirely by its Breitlight construction, a material engineered in-house by the Swiss watch brand to be 3.3 times lighter than titanium and 5.8 times light than steel. It’s black colouring also guarantees to be significantly tougher than other metals, impervious to scratches and corrosion with anti-magnetic and anti-allergic properties. It is also designed to be thermally stable which gives it a warmer feel than the likes of steel when first placed on the wrist.
The case measures to 44 millimetres in diameter and 12.5 millimetres in height and is topped by a unique bi-directional rotating bezel with engraved compass points and a non-screw locked crown with ratcheted detailing for easy manipulation. Turn the Breitling Endurance Pro IRONMAN watch around and a classic screw down case delivers a 100 metre water resistance alongside a special engraving of the IRONMAN logo. The sporting event is commemorated not only on the back but also on the deep red dial with the emblem decorating the small seconds dial at 6 o ‘clock.

The dial of the Breitling Endurance Pro IRONMAN watch is captivating, dressed in a shade of dark red which subtly fades out to black at the edges. The black inner bezel is also decorated with a unique pulsometer scale which can be used by athletes to measure heart rate. The dial is also adorned with contrasting black subsidiary dials, Superluminova coated hands for hours and minutes, a date window at 6 o’clock and large stencil-like numerals also treated to a helping of glow in the dark Superluminova.
To pair with the dial, protected by flat sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, the Endurance Pro IRONMAN is fitted with a sporty red rubber strap and a Breitlight double tang-type buckle. Fuelling the watch is one of Breitling’s legendary thermocompensated SuperQuartz movements. As we’ve come to expect from all Breitling watches, the Breitling Calibre 82 is COSC certified and promises an accuracy ten times more precise than a regular quartz watch. It also offers a battery life of approximately 3 to 4 years.
