Georg Jensen Heritage 2021 Jewellery Collection
Collectors of designer jewellery and Georg Jensen pieces will have likely already heard of their ionic Heritage collection, a series which is launched afresh every year inspired by one of Georg Jensen’s original designs. The collection began back in 1988 and has continued annually ever since. For this year, the Georg Jensen Heritage 2021 Jewellery collection takes its inspiration from one of the founder’s designs launched during the Art Nouveau period and revies the vintage jewellery trend.
The family of elegant necklaces, earrings and ear clips boast antique motifs, curved lines and ornate detailing all of which could be found in the Art Nouveau period, making each piece relentlessly eye catching in today’s overly contemporary world. Each piece of Georg Jensen Heritage 2021 jewellery is crafted from oxidised sterling silver for an authentic vintage finish and set with a choice of three stones: red carnelian, mother of pearl or silver. For collectors and those looking to commemorate a special anniversary or event, the reverse of each necklace or earring is also engraved with the year date.
Georg Jensen Moonlight Grapes Jewellery Collection
One of Georg Jensen’s most popular and iconic collections is the Georg Jensen Moonlight Grapes. The contemporary beaded designs are inspired by one of the very first motifs that founder Georg Jensen himself used on the handle of a silver tureen during the Art Nouveau period. As part of their 2021 arrivals, Georg Jensen has transformed the Moonlight Grapes design and made it available in luxurious 18 carat yellow gold. The timeless style and striking silhouettes of the extended collection brings a new sense of movement suited to every style of women.
There’s plenty of choice in the new Georg Jensen Moonlight Grapes collection including a series of necklaces, bracelets, rings, bangles and bracelets. We absolutely adore the 18 carat yellow gold Moonlight Grapes pendants which opt for a graceful grape cluster that either starts at the end of the chain or begins closer to the nape of the neck for a sensual look. Many of the Georg Jensen Moonlight Grapes jewellery designs are also accentuated by the sparkle of diamonds for an even more opulent finish.
Hearts of Georg Jensen Jewellery Collection
Next up for the Georg Jensen 2021 jewellery collections is a new design imagined by American-born jewellery designer Jacqueline Rabun. Rabun believes that her jewellery should have an emotional impact, both on the person wearing it and those that see it, as well as looking absolutely beautiful. In 2002, she launched her first Georg Jensen collection, Offspring, and used finely crafted silver to create intertwining designs inspired by our connections with family and friends. A few years later she designed the Georg Jensen Mercy collection, a range of sterling silver jewellery which uses natural flowing forms to represent the twists and turns of fate that we all journey upon.
The new Hearts of Georg Jensen jewellery retains the same emotional inspiration, this time commemorating our most powerful emotion: love. The collection is currently home to two pieces, both pendants beautifully moulded into the shape of a heart with a statement aperture which allows the design to hang freely from a fine chain. The two Hearts of Georg Jensen necklaces are available in classic sterling silver or 18 carat yellow gold.
Georg Jensen Daisy Jewellery Collection
Summer is officially here and in celebration of being outdoors, Georg Jensen have revealed some new additions to its beloved Daisy jewellery collection. Also known as the national flower of Denmark, the home of the luxury Georg Jensen brand, the daisy flower is the ultimate symbol of femininity and grace and is once again brought to life in a range of sterling silver and 18 carat yellow gold earrings and rings.
One of our favourite pieces is a pair of Georg Jensen Daisy threader earrings which opt for a more contemporary take on the Daisy. Available in rhodium plated sterling silver or gold, the earrings retain the delicacy of the flower as it hangs freely on a fine chain. The chain continues through the lobe, ends with a solid bar accent and hangs elegantly delivering a lively sense of movement at all angles. We also love the statement Georg Jensen Daisy ring which incorporates large fragments of white enamel for the petals and a beaded centre for the flower head.
