For over a century, the House of Fabergé has symbolised luxury, elegance and beauty and today remains one of the most highly coveted manufacturers in the world. Their captivating collections of necklaces, charms, earrings, rings and bracelets are renowned for their unique formation, utilising extraordinary techniques like gem setting, enamelling and guilloche. It is then to no surprise that the year 2021 has been another big one for the Saint Petersberg-based brand with an array of breathtaking new designs to choose from. Let’s take a look at all the new Fabergé 2021 jewellery collections…
Fabergé 1842 Jewellery
While so many fine jewellery brands focus their attention on expanding current best-selling collections, Fabergé refuses to conform to the expected and has revealed several brand-new lines for 2021. The first is their new Fabergé 1842 jewellery collection, a series of 18 carat gold earrings, necklaces, rings and bangles paying homage to the year Gustav Fabergé opened his jewellery boutique in St. Petersburg and taking inspiration from the iconic egg shape Fabergé has become so notably renowned for.
There are currently eleven new pieces within the Fabergé 1842 jewellery collection with each piece designed to be easily stackable and layered and suitably crafted with the egg motifs engraved with the letter ‘F’ and the date ‘1842’. Additional contemporary cut-out detailing can be found on some of the pieces while others are kept traditionally filled. The necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets are also detailed with a surprise ruby, a vivid red gemstone responsibly sourced from Gemfields Montepuez ruby mine in Mozambique.
Fabergé Essence Spring Surprise Lockets
Ahead of Easter this year, Fabergé revealed six new stunning additions to their Essence collection. Those unfamiliar with the Fabergé Essence Surprise Lockets need to get exploring the collection straight away. For us, they are some of the brand’s best creations and a must-have for any fine jewellery connoisseur. The series takes inspiration from the designs of Peter Carl Fabergé and the original Imperial eggs he created for the Romanov court but with a unique twist, one that focuses on surprising the wearer with unique motifs and figures hidden within.
The new Fabergé Essence Spring Surprise Lockets retain the collection’s legacy with elegant spring-inspired treasures housed within the egg pendants. The colours of the eggs tribute the shades of spring’s first blooms with one beautifully adorned in lavender lacquer and featuring a blue sapphire surprise inside and another coated in charming pastel pink lacquer home to a heart-shaped pink sapphire. Our favourite, however, is the Fabergé Essence Daffodil Locket which showcases an 18 carat yellow gold and hand-painted light green lacquer egg with a beautiful daffodil flower at its centre embellished by a yellow sapphire.
Fabergé Colours of Love Jewellery
Another entirely new collection for 2021 from Fabergé is their new Colours of Love jewellery. The series is inspired by their “Life in Colour” campaign which for the first time introduces coloured gemstones to their collections responsibly sourced from Gemfields’ mines in Zambia and Mozambique. This responsible sourcing allows Fabergé to help apply industry-leading policies and practices across operations such as transparency in the auction sales procedure and an active role in working groups to modernise the coloured gemstone sector.
For the UK, the last twelve months has been a year of hope, sacrifice and bravery symbolised by the colours of the rainbow. The same mesmerising array of colours is brought to life through the Fabergé Colours of Love jewellery collection with pieces exclusive to rubies, sapphire and emeralds and other designs adorned in a multitude of different coloured gemstones including rubies, garnets, tsavorites, emeralds, and blue, pink, orange and yellow sapphires. This is a collection where choice is never ending, and we think it would be perfect for any lady in love with colour or someone with a ruby, sapphire or emerald birthstone!
