For 2023, DOXA upgrades its popular Sub 200 chronograph with a smaller 42mm case, sunray-finished dial and a range of steel or ceramic insert bezels. Despite its new size, the DOXA Sub 200 C-Graph II watch refuses to compromise on its capabilities offering the same 200 metre water resistant, robust 316L steel case and Swiss made automatic winding chronograph movement. Here’s everything you need to know about the new DOXA Sub 200 C-Graph II collection…
The new DOXA Sub 200 C-Graph II watch basically takes all the best elements of the original SUB 200 C-Graph from 2020 and adds in a few design features that make it more wearable for the modern-day wrist. The most important upgrade is found on the case which now measures to 42mm in diameter compared to the 45mm width of the first generation. There’s also new flat lugs, a polished side bevel and a height of 15.85mm. Despite its decrease in size, the DOXA Sub 200 C-Graph II watch still ensures the same robust 200 metre water resistant rating helped by a solid screw down case back, screw down winding crown and domed sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment.
Another notable difference for the new DOXA Sub 200 C-Graph II watch is the bezel. Now sharply ratcheted with a shark-tooth detailing, the unidirectional rotating bezels no longer elects coloured sapphire inserts but a choice of brushed steel inserts or coloured ceramic inserts. The DOXA Sub 200 C-Graph II Divingstar (yellow), Professional (orange) and Aquamarine (turquoise) watches pair their colourful dials with classic brushed steel inserts with a black printed 60 minute diving scale. Meanwhile, the DOXA Sub 200 C-Graph II Sharkhunter (black) and Caribbean (blue) watches utilise their dial colour on a scratch resistant ceramic insert with a white diving scale. Finally, the DOXA Sub 200 C-Graph II Searambler (silver) watch is available with either a white ceramic or brushed steel insert.
As with all of DOXA’s SUB dive watch collections, there’s no shortage of dial colours to choose from. Available in yellow, orange, turquoise, black, navy blue or silver, the displays debut a gorgeous new sunburst effect that gives the dial a subtle, distinctive elegance. The outwardly bursting brushed lines that radiate outward from the centre of the dial give the colours a more luminous, shiny look compared to the flat, matte finish of the previous DOXA Sub 200 C-Graph watches. The dials still uphold the classic tri-compax chronograph counters with snailed decoration and Superluminova inserts on all hands and hour markers.
Powering the DOXA Sub 200 C-Graph II watches is the Sellita SW510 automatic winding chronograph movement with a power reserve of 48 hours, a frequency of 28,800vph and a total of 27 jewels. The movement is hidden from view behind a closed case back embellished with the DOXA fish logo. Finally, the DOXA Sub 200 C-Graph II watches are available on a choice of two straps: a “beads of rice” stainless steel bracelet with a folding buckle or a FKM rubber strap with a pin buckle.
