This rare artisanal practice involves using an ancient tool devised for hand carving called the “millerighe” burin which was originally employed during the Renaissance era. The tool creates a tactile finish on the 18ct gold surface, forming tiny grooves all in the same direction of a satisfying and silky finish. The effect also leaves a lasting impression on any reflection of light, creating its own minute displays of colour and shine.
