If there are two colours to represent the House of Gucci, it’s red and green. The combination of colours was concieved by the brand’s original founder Guccio Gucci back in the 1930’s. His attention to Italian saddle detailing inspired the idea of a green and red woven stripe; little did he know that this blend would become an enduring symbol for the mastery of the brand for decades to come. The stripe is displayed proudly on this Gucci G-Timeless watch, both on the dial and on the nylon strap demanding instant attention and contrasting beautifully to the yellow gold PVD case. The dial is then embroidered with the symbol of a bee which extends out into two yellow gold hands for the hours and minutes. Similarly dressed in steel and yellow gold, this Gucci G-Timeless watch is defined almost entirely by its centrepiece dial decorated in a bold red, white and blue snake. The snake is one of Gucci’s most striking animal symbols, a creature which for centuries has embodied the powers of sensuality and seduction. Evolving just that, the 38mm watch displays the snake on a crisp silver dial for ultimate exposure and pairs it with slender gold hands hours, minutes and seconds. The same heart, star and bee motifs make up the hour markers to pair with the two-toned case and bracelet. The Gucci G-Timeless watch is completed with a 50 metre water resistant rating and another Swiss made battery-powered movement.
