Their history spans more than 700 years with five generations of the Muhle family working in the town’s watchmaking industry without interruption. In 1869, Robert Muhle began producing high precisions measuring instruments for other watch manufacturers before he went on to make speedometers and rev counters. It wasn’t until the family’s fourth generation that they began production of high quality wristwatches, a decision that would change the history of German watchmaking forever.
