ETA Watch Movements

Beating at the heart of most mechanical watches, ETA SA Swiss, most commonly referred to as just ETA, has become renowned for its highly accurate and dependable calibres. They are currently known for being the leading manufacturer of mechanical movements with many luxury watch brands using ETA and ETA modified calibres in their timepieces.

Since making mechanical movements in-house is not only expensive but incredibly time consuming, modifying an ETA movement to one’s own specifications is a practical alternative for most companies. ETA have been producing mechanical movements as early as 1932 and they now have a huge range of calibres in different grades including highly coveted COSC certified ETA movements.

See some of the most widely used ETA mechanical calibres below:

It measures to 25.6mm in diameter and only 3.6mm in height. It also beats at a frequency of 28,800vph but is equipped with a smaller total of 21 jewels.
