About Gucci Jewellery

Defined by their double G logo, Gucci are all about making a statement, dominating the world with cutting-edge style and representing creativity, quality and innovation through their stunning designer jewellery collections. If you’re shopping for timeless accessories to match your own unsolicited sense of style, look no further than Gucci jewellery.

A Brief History of Gucci Jewellery

In 1921, Guccio Gucci founded the first Gucci store in the centre of Florence handcrafting and selling leathers goods including luggage and equestrian accessories. In 1933, Gucci’s son Aldo joined the business and in doing so transformed the brand from a well-known local leather store to a world-renowned designer. Alongside their leather accessories, they began producing knitwear, silk goods, shoes and handbags all embossed with a new logo, a double G emblem, to symbolise the name of the brand’s founder. It wasn’t long before this symbol crossed the ocean and was adorning the bodies of wealthy travellers and even some Hollywood stars.

In 1953, Guccio passed away and the business continued under the supervision of his three sons, Aldo, Vasco and Rodolfo. The Italian designer brand continued to increase its portfolio of products, including the launch of the first Gucci fine jewellery collection. Fast forward several years and Tom Ford was hired as Creative Director in 1994. His bold, flashy designs and hyper-sexualized advertising won over a whole new customer base. More recently, Alessandro Michele, was promoted to Creative Director by uniquely combining Gucci’s historic motifs with contemporary elements, the House of Gucci has seen more success than ever before, particularly with younger audiences.

The Gucci Jewellery Collections

Regarded as one of the world’s most desirable fashion houses, it is no surprise that Gucci creates only the finest designer jewellery. Their modern day collections include the both high-end jewellery pieces and more affordable designer designs, both of which exude the technical elegance and attention to detail reputed from the House. A popular series is Gucci Interlocking G jewellery which neatly combines their heritage with contemporary innovations, reiving the double G motif sterling silver and 18 carat yellow gold.

Another best-selling line is the Gucci GG Running jewellery collection. Characterised by clean lines, statement stud work and 18 carat gold, these pieces are billed as both accessible and adventurous with attention grabbing rings, easy-to-open bracelets and instantly striking stud earrings on offer. More recently, Gucci collaborated with New York City street artist Trouble Andrew to launch the Gucci Ghost jewellery collection. Andrew caught the attention of Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele when he began spray painting the streets of the city with the image of a ghost with the famous GG logo of Gucci as its eyes. This very motif can now be found within a selection of Gucci rings, necklaces and bangles.

One of Gucci’s most recent fine jewellery collections is the Gucci Link to Love jewellery line. Handcrafted from white, yellow and rose gold, these stackable rings and bracelets are designed to tell the tale of your own love story. By layering these designs together, you can express your own unique personality, choose from stunning diamond and coloured gemstone pieces and timeless gemstone-free designs.
