About Faberge Watches

Founder of Faberge, Peter Carl Faberge, first began his career as an innovator of captivating jewels, glistening gemstone designs and exquisite jewellery pieces, working as the official goldsmith for the Russian Imperial Court in 1842. Some of his most famous designs to this day are his iconic Imperial Easter Eggs, of which Faberge drew from his training undertaken in his teenage years in Germany, France and England to create. From the year 1882, he became responsible for restoring and repairing masterpieces held at the Hermitage museum in Russia. In addition to its colourful and artistic gemstone designs, Russian-born brand, Faberge is also famous for its exquisite line of timepieces. Before this point in the brand’s history, however, Faberge would change ownership and survive a devastating blow when in 1914, the Romanov dynasty came to an abrupt end, forcing Faberge to close its doors. Having been adored by industrialists, tycoons, royalty and artists, Faberge’s remarkable success in prestigious parts of the world such as London and Paris would come to an end after half a century.

Peter Carl passed away in 1920 and Faberge lost its ownership, but the company was thankfully reunited with the Faberge family in 2017 when new life was breathed into the brand. The famous and highly esteemed name was once again restored and began exploring historical artefacts of its heritage once more, drawing from this to create innovations in the same savoir faire approach. A huge portfolio of intricate, scintillating timepieces is now available from Faberge, including those from popular collections like the Vissionaire, Altruist, Dalliance and Flirt lines. Every model boasts the craftsmanship and legacy of the Faberge heritage, appealing to contemporary and traditional connoisseurs once more.

The Faberge Vissionaire watch collection is home to models like the DTZ chronograph, which features an additional time zone for those who like to travel frequently. Paying homage to the unfinished Faberge Constellation Egg developed in 1917, timepieces from this range are crafted from materials like ceramic and titanium for longevity on the wrist and a lightweight feel. For collectors who enjoy extravagant, colourful designs and vivid interpretations of Faberge’s arts of the past, timepieces from the Compliquee watch collection showcase alluring peacock detailing on their dials, as well as stunning cases crafted from platinum, 18ct white gold and 18ct rose gold.

The Faberge Altruist watch collection came about in 2016. The models from this series boast clear, easy to read dials that promote straight forward, no nonsense timekeeping. Classic and understated in style, these timepieces are ideal for wearing with elegant, formal or business attire. One of the most distinct characteristics of the Faberge Altruist watch is its innovative crown, which echoes the feel of a winding mechanism on a traditional clock thanks to a pivoting finger grip. Differing from the style and understated elegance of the Altruist watch is the Dalliance watch. The timepieces from this collection are often adorned with lustrous diamonds for a decorative finish on the wrist.

Faberge watches continue to symbolise wealth, beauty and opulence. Some of the most elaborately decorated wristwatches from our extensive range here at C W Sellors include the Faberge Summer in Provence watch and the Compliquee Peacock Black Sapphire and diamond watch. To enhance the luxurious and exclusive feel of every Faberge watch, the company offers a varied selection of beautifully crafted straps in vivid colours that match elements on the dial. Above all, Faberge watches continue to distil the true essence of the brand in all its modern timepieces, enabling the iconic Faberge family name to live on in the form of breath-taking jewellery designs and impeccable wristwatches for both men and women.
