Since 1979, C W Sellors has proudly supplied our customers with the finest jewellery and luxury watch collections on the market including our own range of British designed and manufactured designer jewellery. We are one of the UK’s longest surviving – and flourishing – family manufacturing and retail jewellers and we are remarkably proud of our roots in Derbyshire, the home to our head office and workshops.
Originating from our local roots is our stunning collections of C W Sellors Blue John jewellery. Whilst initially extracted for grand ornamental pieces, the mining of Blue John is now incredibly scarce and as such, our Derbyshire Blue John jewellery is manufactured using only responsibly sourced semi-precious gemstones and is carefully managed by adhering to strict quotas placed on what can be taken from the Treak Cliff Cavern found in the hills of Castleton, Derbyshire.
Once our workshop receives the gemstone, our talented craftsmen and women select only the finest grade material to use in our finished designs. No matter whether you purchase a single Blue John pendant or a Blue John ring framed in diamonds, you can be assured every C W Sellors Designer Jewellery design has passed the highest quality of inspection at every stage. All our Blue John jewellery is sold with a Certificate of Authenticity to provide piece of mind and traceability to the gemstone source and craftsmanship.
Our Blue John jewellery collections offer something for everybody. The stone is set within examples of sterling silver, yellow gold, rose gold and white gold with each design offering complete individuality since every piece of Blue John is completely unique to the next. Our award-winning collections include Cross Hearts which features hand-carved heart shaped gemstones encapsulated within a patriotic heart mount. Our C W Sellors Toscana jewellery collection also features some of our best-selling Blue John pieces taking inspiration from the tall, graceful cypress trees, standing proud on gently sloping hills of the Tuscan countryside.
The C W Sellors Designer Jewellery collections also proudly showcase several other gemstones like that of Whitby Jet, Amethyst, Turquoise, Preseli Bluestone, Opal and Mother of Pearl. Whitby Jet is another of our best-selling gemstones, sourced from the cliffs of the quaint seaside town of Whitby in North Yorkshire. The jet black stone looks breathtaking when paired with diamonds and as such can be found within many of our handmade gemstone engagement rings.
