Squale 2001 Watches
The Squale 2001 collection brings one of the brand’s pioneering dive-watch designs back into the modern collection. Originally developed in the 1960s, the 2001 became known for its distinctive asymmetric barrel-shaped case, hidden lugs and innovative push-to-release bezel system.
Created during the pioneering era of professional diving, the original Squale 2001 was designed as a reliable instrument for divers and freedivers. Its history is closely associated with legendary explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau, who selected a 2001 as a gift for Michel Laval, first officer of the Calypso, during the crew's 1972 Antarctic expedition.
