Oris Star Watches
The Oris Star celebrates an important chapter in the history of Swiss watchmaking. In 1965, Oris successfully challenged the Swiss law that had restricted watchmakers from innovating with mechanical movements. Following the change, Oris introduced its first lever-escapement watch in 1966 and named it the Oris Star.
The modern Oris Star Edition marks the 60th anniversary of this landmark moment. Its 35 mm barrel-shaped stainless-steel case, domed plexiglass crystal and retro-inspired detailing recreate the character of the original Star while incorporating contemporary mechanical watchmaking.
