The square’s iconic plane trees were planted in 1789 — the same year Backes & Strauss began trading — creating a natural connection between the collection and the brand’s long heritage.

Recognisable by its distinctive cushion-shaped case, the Berkeley collection combines refined British design with Swiss mechanical watchmaking and Backes & Strauss’s expertise in diamond setting. The range spans 29 mm, 33 mm, 37 mm, 40 mm and 43 mm models, with options ranging from quartz timepieces to sophisticated automatic watches.
