About TAG Heuer Connected Watches

The world’s first Swiss luxury smartwatch, the TAG Heuer Connected bring to life the brand’s Carrera case but with advanced technology from Intel and Google. These luxury smartwatches have taken over the industry for good reason, setting their sights on those that want the sophisticated appeal of a luxury, Swiss made mechanical watch but the functionality of a fitness wearable.

2015: TAG Heuer Connected (First-Generation)

The first TAG Heuer Connected watch debuted in 2015 and made history as the world’s first smartwatch to be Swiss Made. Crafted in the brand’s workshops in La-Choux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, the TAG Heuer smartwatches beautifully combined the 45mm case architecture of their famous Carrera watch and utilised only premium watch materials including steel and titanium cases, ceramic bezels and sapphire crystal. This first-generation of TAG Heuer Connected watches not only set the standard for TAG Heuer’s future collections but for smartwatches everywhere, proving that fitness trackers and sports wearables could be dressy and sophisticated.

2017: TAG Heuer Connected Modular Series (Second-Generation)

In 2017, TAG Heuer launched their second-generation smartwatch naming it the TAG Heuer Connected Modular Series. These ground-breaking designs stood out from their predecessor for their unique modular architecture which allowed you to swap out the 45mm case, dial, lugs, bezel, buckle and strap on a whim. In total, you could create around 4,000 different styles of the TAG Heuer Connected watch. The luxury wearable also still boasted all of its high-performance smartwatch features including GPS, workout tracking, NFC payments, accelerometer, gyroscope, tilt detection, microphone, GMT, chronograph and smartphone connectivity including smart notifications.

2020: TAG Heuer Connected (Third-Generation)

The third-generation TAG Heuer Connected watch looked even less like a gadget and more like a traditional timepiece when it was launched in 2020. The design still provided the stylish Carrera case in steel, titanium or gold but with additional sensors for improved effectiveness during fitness and sports tracking. There were some subtle design elements included on the ceramic bezel and mechanical buttons for a more streamlined finish and the display came with a higher-resolution. The 2020 TAG Heuer Connected no longer opted for a modular construction but maintained its OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100 chipset and fitness apps for golf, running, and cycling.

2022: TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 (Fourth-Generation)

The latest luxury smartwatch from TAG Heuer is the 2022 TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 collection. One of the biggest differences here is the case profile, which is now available in both 42mm and 45mm. The cases also showcase sleeker lugs, a thinner bezel and more ergonomic pushers for an elegant finish. Customisation is still a possibility, with a wide range of leather and rubber straps and solid metal bracelets to choose from. There’s also a huge number of watch faces that allow you to pick and choose which smartwatch features you want to highlight. In terms of fitness apps, the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 smartwatch boasts preloaded sports profiles for indoor and outdoor running, cycling, swimming, golf and walking as well as a new guided workout feature. Working alongside this is a wellness app, classic sensors including accelerometer, heart rate monitor, compass, and GPS as well as the latest Wear OS by Google.
