About Fope Watches

The story of Fope’s exquisite designs began back in 1929 when the company was founded by Umberto Cazzola in Vicenza. Beginning as a small workshop, the jewellery maker got off to a humble start and employed just a handful of artisans. Handed down from generation to generation, Fope remained in the Cazzola family. Having invested in plenty of research and development, technical innovation has been at the forefront of Fope’s designs since the Second World War. Renowned for its Italian elegance, Fope went from a small business to an internationally renowned master in jewellery craftsmanship, designing and manufacturing unique pieces in house. As a company wh prided itself on remaining in Vicenza where it was first founded, Fope soon became a globally leading innovator with a cutting edge factory in 1940.

In the 1950s Fope created a revolutionary concept that would shape the success of its future jewellery designs. A flexible strap made from gold would hide tiny golden springs between each of its intricately crafted links forming a mesh. The unique idea would prove to be both comfortable and stylish, perfect for wearing as a flexible piece of jewellery. Rings and bracelets would be developed from this method. In the 1980s the chain mesh would prove to be another instant success. The Novecento mesh was made from 18ct gold and featured chains that would move more fluidly when against the skin, creating a continual pattern. The highly wearable design was both eye-catching and smooth.

In 2007 Fope drew upon its expertise in creating innovative jewellery designs with the launch of the ground breaking Flex’It concept. The technological innovation would extend upon the manufacturer’s line of flexible jewellery with a roll on and roll off design crafted entirely from gold. The mesh constructed would stretch allowing the lady to add the piece of jewellery to her wrist without the need for a fasten. The skill and care behind the design of Fope’s Flex’It jewellery was a testament to the brand’s passion and perseverance. The Italian company now incorporates its own custom-made numerical controlled machinery to help with the design process of its Flex’It jewellery, however, the pieces from the Eka range remain entirely crafted by hand, adding to their unique allure. Minute golden springs are inserted between each link of the bracelet to create an almost fluid like feel against the skin, and it is this technology that has led to the brand’s many beautiful Fope watches.

Fope’s Flex’It watches are powered by Swiss made quartz watches and feature the patented Flex’It bracelet for optimized comfort on the wrist. The tiny golden springs are concealed between each link creating supple shapes and delicate lines forming the LadyFope range of watches. The bracelets featured in these Fope watches are a modern take on the Novecento mesh and represent the Italian brand’s ideals in comfort, elegance and style. Fope’s range of opulent and delicate watches are available in 18ct white gold, rose gold and yellow gold, and similar to the company’s inspiring range of jewellery designs, come adorned in glistening diamonds. Some of the bracelets from the LadyFope watch collection feature alternating rows of polished and diamond-set links, others feature just one row of diamonds positioned at the top and bottom of the case where the case joins to the bracelet. Similarly, the dials of the Fope watch range come in both diamond and non-diamond options and feature perfectly round cases for a timeless look on the wrist.
