Introducing Tissot Watches

Jewellery & Watch News

Part of the famous Swatch Group, Tissot have become widely known for their remarkable innovations and partnerships with sporting events like the NBA, Tour de France and MotoGP. They excel in their ambition to honour traditional Swiss watchmaking techniques while still embracing the contemporary needs of a modern audience and we are never bored of the incredible designs of men’s and women’s watches that are released every year.

The story behind Tissot watches first began towards the middle of the nineteenth century in the stunning town of Le Locle in Switzerland, where Charles Felicien-Tissot and his son started their own network of independent watchmakers. They started off by creating extraordinary Tissot pocket watches that were richly decorated and boasted immaculate complications. From there, they went on to make their mark with their own patented technical innovations including the world's first non-magnetic wristwatch.

Today, Tissot watches are highly regarded for their technical prowess and striking designs. With a passion for sport, teamwork and discipline, Tissot have become a trusted partner and the Official Timekeeper for a variety of sporting events which has led to the creation of many special edition and limited edition watches to honour the competitions. Tissot believes that as each sport evolves, so should they, with brand new technologies coming to life every year to deliver accurate results for use in the sporting arena.

Today we will be breaking down all the latest Tissot watch collections to help you find the perfect model for you. From Tissot Chronographs, to their incredible limited editions to Tissot T-Sport, T-Classic, T-Lady and Tissot Heritage watches, there is a Tissot watch out there for everybody.

Tissot T-Touch Watches

First released in 1999, the Tissot T-Touch watch collection has always seemed ahead of its time and even after 20 years remains as popular as ever. These purpose-built instruments not only look striking on the wrist but make for the ideal companion for hikers and adventurers with sapphire crystal touch screens, durable cases and in some models, solar powered movements.

There have been many ana-digi watches over the years, and many will agree that the Tissot T-Touch watch collection leads the way. Many of the models come with ABC functionality which includes altimeter, barometer and compass functions, alongside a slick hybrid dial with analog hour and minute hands and a digital display. The Tissot T-Touch Expert Solar watches are some of the most remarkable with their Swiss made quartz solar movements that are instantly charged by sunlight.

Tissot Heritage Watches

The Tissot Heritage watch collection is one of our favourites and is full to the brim with impeccable designs inspired by historic Tissot models. With vintage aesthetics combined with cutting edge technology for the modern day, Tissot Heritage watches beautifully tribute the talent and creativity of past Tissot designers.

Last month we were surprised with the release of the new Tissot Heritage 1973 Chronograph Limited Edition watch which has been a huge hit with collectors of vintage inspired models. It celebrates the year Tissot first got involved with car racing with its stainless steel cushion shaped case that instantly takes us back to the swinging 70’s alongside a perforated black leather strap. The Tissot Heritage Visodate watch collection is another retro model that we love which takes us back another few decades to the 1950’s which unique numeral styling and curved glass.

Tissot T-Lady Watches

In a male dominated industry, it’s always nice to see luxury watch brands like Tissot dedicating an entire collection to the female gender. The Tissot T-Lady watch collection beautifully captures the elegance and grace of women while also not forgetting that many of us also appreciate fine craftsmanship and accurate Swiss made movements.

The Tissot Lovely Square watches are fairly new to the scene and look stunning on smaller wrists. Their delicate square shaped cases come in steel, rose gold and yellow gold paired with mesmerising dials available in a variety of colours alongside mesh style bracelets or luxurious leather straps. The Tissot Heart Flower watches are another fine example of the collection’s feminine charm with a small flower shaped window at 12 o clock to show off its incredible Powermatic 80 automatic movement.
