Now having lost and regained rights to the family name, Faberge has opened new chapters, taking inspiration from its storied past to create original pieces with a strong sense of individuality. The Rococo, Treillage and Imperial collections have become some of the independent Jeweller’s most successful sellers over the years. This year Faberge are expected to be the company’s show stopper at the C W Sellors Christmas Wishes event held at Chatsworth house in November. Each year the family-run business invites their most reputable and globally recognised suppliers to help create and share another memorable event to add to their years of success as a luxury jewellery and watch retailer as well as an independent manufacturer of fine jewellery. Faberge’s unique collections comprise of the lavish Easter eggs which were originally created by Faberge for the Russian Imperial family between 1885 and 1916. Of all of Faberge’s works of art, the awe-inspiring Imperial Easter Eggs are the most celebrated creations.
Faberge Imperial Eggs
Dreaming up each complex concept, Faberge created a selection of Imperial Eggs, each with its own surprise within the finished piece as requested by the Empress of the Imperial family who received the very first Egg after Tsar Alexander III first had the idea of commissioning Faberge to create a precious Easter egg for her. Unbeknown to the family and Peter Carl Faberge himself, this Egg would be the first of 50 individualised Easter Eggs which followed the famous Hen Egg.
Amongst the many collections which are set to feature at the C W Sellors Christmas Wishes Chatsworth event this year, the Rococo collection whose style takes inspiration from the gold scrolls featured on the legendary Rocaille Egg for the Russian Heiress Varvara Keikh, will sit amongst iconic designs from the Treillage collection. The trellis pattern which graces the many creations within this fine collection, are inspired by the Diamond Trellis Egg which was created by Faberge in 1892. The sumptuous white and rose gold cushion-patterned jewels studded with luminous gemstones strike the perfect balance between heritage and contemporary elegance. This Faberge Treillage Multi Coloured Rose Gold Matt Pendant is embellished with amethysists, rubies, yellow, orange, pink and blue sapphires and emeralds together with cognac and white diamonds.
